Demisexual differs from "Grey-A" in that Demisexual is a specific sexual orientation, whereas "Grey-A" is a highly unspecific catch-all used for anything between sexual and asexual that doesn't fit.
When describing "demisexual" as anorientation to sexuals, sexuals often mistake it as an admirable choice rather than an innate orientation. I think that everybody, including demisexuals themselves, often fail to comprehend exactly how much demisexuality makes forming romantic or sexual relationships more difficult. Often demisexuals are mistaken as having high standards.
