Asexual Perspectives was first started in November 2004 and was updated periodically until March 2007. In January 2009, AVEN's frontpage was redesigned with the goal of having more dynamic content. As part of this, Asexual Perspectives was revived and new articles were posted throughout 2009. At the time, Asexual Perspectives was run by the AVENite Ghosts, who was a moderator.
