This page briefly explains many common terms seen on the AVEN site and community.
- A, Ace: someone who is asexual
- aromantic: not interested in romantic relationships
- AVENista, AVENite: a member of the AVEN forum
- biasexual: being romantically attracted to people of either sex, but not sexually attracted; or someone for whom this is true
- heteroasexual: being romantically attracted to people of the opposite sex, but not sexually attracted; or someone for whom this is true
- homoasexual: being romantically attracted to people of the same sex, but not sexually attracted; or someone for whom this is true
- hyposexual: having a low sex drive
