Aleksi arrived at AVEN one cold and windy afternoon in late October, after discovering the existence of asexuality just the previous day. Xe was quick to write a message announcing xyr arrival, and has since been an active member of the community.

Concerning xyr asexuality

Aleksi is of the opinion that xyr sexuality did not develop during puberty. When xe was but a school pupil, xe soon began to realise the extraordinary change that was beginning to start in those with whom xe was close - they, as xe was told would occur during xyr many hours of sexual education, started developing a sexual interest in the opposite - for it would appear all xyr friends were heterosexual - sex. Aleksi, suffice it to say, did not.

Xe then entered what xe regards as xyr period of sexual obfuscation - xe know xe was still attracted to others; and, because such attraction was directed at both the male and female sexes, xe must, undoubtedly, be bisexual. Peculiarly, the simple fact that xe felt no desire to have sex with those to whom xe was attracted, did not often enter xyr mind. On reflection, xe now believes that this matter was solely because xe believed that the attraction xe felt was precisely the same attraction felt by everyone else.

Finally, upon the twenty-third day of October (XXIII.X.MMVII), Aleksi, while reading articles on Wikipedia - as xe oft does when trapped in the coils of boredom - discovered the existence of asexuality. After at least four years, xe knew that xe was in fact a bi-romantic asexual.
