Am I welcome?

My name is Sky and I started identifying as asexual about 9 months ago now, after studying into it quite a bit. I don't tell many people that I am ace, though. I appear from the outside as a regular lesbian and do all the things with my girlfriend that lesbian couples do. I am sexually active, but do not experience sexual attraction nor do I have a sex drive. It is simply a way of connecting to her, but not the only or primary way we connect. if I was in a relationship with another ace, who was not interested in sex at the least- I would connect with them in other ways, wouldn't bother me a bit. I have been to quite a few blogs that claim sexually active ace's aren't really asexual. That hurt me a lot because after finding asexuality, I thought maybe I had finally found my community.. I hope I can meet some cool and accepting people here. This is my second time creating an account and I intend on keeping it this time.
